凹凸之外
- OUT TO
- 凹凸之外是一處不設限於某類藝術文化創作的地方，2005年6月正式成立。團名「凹」「凸」定名取自中國字的圖像結合，通過創意成為一個變幻莫測的平面。這個平面，是一張紙，讓各領域的藝文人紀錄創意。它同樣也是一個平台，讓藝術人齊聚於此，將紙墨畫於行動，力求「思想從平面跳出」，讓各類藝術、文化及教育推廣等思想從平面延伸至四維空間。在這個空間不限定創意於某一類藝術，我們透過豐富的媒介傳達真摯的情感，如肢體律動、傀儡、物件、聲音、動畫、裝置或更多更多。目前，凹凸之外主要的發展方向有三：劇場演出、藝術教育推廣和藝術交流計畫。未來我們繼續嘗試將觸角擴及世界，不時與各地藝術家朋友合作萌發跨領域、跨地域的合作交流機會。 The Chinese characters “凹” (Out) and “凸” (To) can be united as a piece of paper in different sizes and shapes, which symbolize the initial need for artists once they meet a glimpse of an idea---writing down on any surface to keep it fresh. OUT TO, an international art group aims to practice “Idea Jumps from Paper to Another”, officially set up in Taipei in June 2005. Instead of framing creativity in a category of art or literature, all the participants from different regions or countries try to transmit the true significance through various media, such as movement, puppetry, object, sounds, animation, and etc. Not only theatre performance, from time to time, OUT TO also generates outreach program for children, youth and community. To discover more possibilities in Life, cultural and anthropological research would be one of the new dimensions in the near future.
